Future StudioTemporary Host kicks off with a discussion about the artists' studio as a place of work, as a potential site of research into artists' practices, and as a cultural site. Artists' studios have been at the centre of urban regeneration, in London and elsewhere, they have also become the subject of research into artists' practices and processes. Potentially, they actas a site from which, and around which, new kinds of interdisciplinary, collaborative research and creative projects have the potential to emerge. Space Studios in East London (which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year) has been developing an international projectcalled Future Studio, and part of the informniung idea behind this table is to look at how an internationa network linking projects, arts and educatioin instituions might work to supporrt artists and generate research. The discussion will be prompted by contributions from people working on current research projects around the artist's studio, including: Jane Lee - BA Fine Art Course Director, Central St Martins College of Art and Design Anna Hart - Byam Shaw Rebecca Fortnum- Camberwell HostsGeorge Unsworth - SpaceStudios http://www.spacestudios.org.uk/ Claire MacDonald - ICFAR Director
